Setting up SlickVPN on Windows

Install the SlickVPN client on Windows from scratch. The whole process takes about two minutes.

Step-by-step

From the Help & Support page, click the Windows download button to grab the latest client (SlickVPN.exe).

Double-click the downloaded file. If Windows SmartScreen appears, choose “More info → Run anyway”. Click Next through the welcome screen.

Leave the default install location, and keep the box ticked to create desktop and Start Menu icons. Click Next, then Install.

Windows will ask permission to install the TAP network adapter SlickVPN uses. Click Install / Yes to allow it.

Click Finish. The client opens automatically. Enter your VPN username and password, then click Connect and wait for the green checkbox.

If the green checkbox never appears, restart the SlickVPNsrvc service (see “Common Issues on Windows”).
