Windows PPTP Instructions (discontinued)

We’ve stopped supporting PPTP connections due to the significant security flaws in the protocol. PPTP setup instructions are no longer provided.

Step-by-step

2 steps
1

Use OpenVPN instead

OpenVPN is the recommended protocol for all members. It uses an AES-256-CBC cipher and runs over multiple ports with both UDP and TCP connections. See “Setting up SlickVPN on Windows” or “Windows OpenVPN Manual Setup”.

2

On Apple devices, use IPSec

IPSec is built into iOS and OSX and requires no additional software. See the iPhone, iPad or OS X IPSec guides.

💡

PPTP is no longer supported by SlickVPN. If you previously configured a PPTP connection, remove it and switch to OpenVPN or IPSec.
