General guidance for loading SlickVPN certificates and configs onto any OpenVPN-capable router.
Download the .ovpn file for your chosen server. Open it in a text editor to read the server address, port, cipher and embedded certificates.
Every router firmware exposes the same fields under different names: remote → server address, proto → protocol, and the inline <ca>/<cert>/<key> blocks map to the CA and client certificate boxes.
Match the cipher and auth digest from the .ovpn (commonly AES-256-CBC / SHA-256) so negotiation succeeds.
Save, start the client, and check the router’s VPN status page or your public IP to confirm the tunnel.
