OS X – IPSec Setup

Configure a built-in Cisco IPSec VPN on macOS without any extra software.

Step-by-step

Open Network settings

Go to System Settings → Network, click the “…” menu and choose “Add VPN Configuration → Cisco IPSec”.

Enter the server

Give the connection a name and enter the SlickVPN server address you want to use.

Add your account

Enter your VPN username and password in the Authentication fields.

Add the shared secret

Under Authentication Settings, enter the SlickVPN shared secret from your account area, then Apply.

Connect

Click Connect. The status shows “Connected” and a timer starts.
